Mom had to run off to a baby shower this morning for our expecting sister-in-law! So exciting to be welcoming all these new babies into the fold! The girls have definitely loved having baby Jett over for visits, and now they will be getting another baby boy to love on very soon!
As mom ran off with the girls, I decided me and my girls weren’t going to sit around the house and wait for the time to pass! I loaded the girls up and hit the mall for lunch! The girls loved being out of the house, and we even ran into one of my old friends from high school who now lives in San Antonio, but happened to be visiting Utah today and just happened to be in the mall! Small world!
After lunch, I decided to let the girls run free at the park! If you think I’m nuts doing this alone, you are correct! That’s why I’m so glad Uncle Drake called while on the way to the park, because he was on his way to us, so it worked out perfectly! He met us at the park, and the girls eyes lit up like a Christmas Tree when they found out where we were going!
As soon as we got them out of their car seats and set them on the grass, they were gone faster than we could turn around! There’s just something about the park, the wide open space, green grass, and of course leaves falling everywhere that makes this a magical play land for the girls!
They smiled and laughed for about 45 minutes straight while collecting leaves, sticks and just plain running their energy out! Drake and I pretty much just sat back and watched the action, occasionally corralling a kid trying to break free from the pack!
The late morning stroll at the park was just what the girls needed, and I think just what I needed too! By the time I got home, and got them in the house, they were half way up the stairs heading for their bedrooms before I could even say “Its Nap Time”. I guess letting them enjoy the park paid off on both ends of the spectrum!
