The girls had an amazing 2 year birthday party! We knew after last years amazing birthday bash, we wanted to celebrate on a much smaller lever this year. We planned the party with just our close family, and it was perfect!
With the girls being so active and curious about everything, we thought it would be perfect to take them to The Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point. It turned out to be the perfect place as they were mesmerized and busy for the 2 hours we spent there. They literally never sat down for one moment going from one activity to the next. I think the whole family was exhausted chasing them around all night!
Heading in with Esme!
The slide was a particular hit with the girls. They cleared out the crowd within seconds as they took over!
Don’t let their faces fool you, they were having a great time, they just didn’t want to take pictures! They wanted to play! Mean parents, lol.
The girls got to pick out a stuffed animal from the gift shop before we left. They all wanted the monkeys!
The great thing about living so close to family, is they are always there to support us. Taking your kids to a high traffic area like this can be a little overwhelming, and even scary. Luckily, we always have a 1 on 1 ratio with the kids as we always take multiple adults with us on our outings! I love big families! Here’s a few pics of the girls with their aunts, uncles and grandparents!
A few more exploring the Museum!
Celebrating with the cousins.
After the museum, we packed up and headed for home. The girls got situated in their birthday chairs, waiting for the action!
Pie posing with Daddy!
We had pizzas delivered, and the birthday cakes ready to go!
Ashley had the girls cupcakes made specifically for each of them and the birthday cake decorated for all of us to share! Dippidee Bakery did an amazing job on both for the second year in a row! Not only are they beautiful, but they tasted amazing! Ask the girls!
After we sang happy birthday, the girls got to blow out their two candles on their cupcakes one at a time. It was magical, as every milestone is.
Mom getting the girls in their pajamas and ready for bed!
We are so blessed to have these 4 miracles in our lives. Not a day goes by that we don’t thank our Father in Heaven for this joyous blessing that has brought so much happiness to our lives. We have been blessed eternally, and there sometimes aren’t words to express the gratitude we feel in our hearts. Each year brings with it new memories, and always new blessings. Happy 2nd Birthday Durls!
Here is the Blog from Last Year’s Birthday with lots of fun pics so you can see how much the girls have grown!
