The 4th of July is one of Ashley’s favorite holidays, so naturally we decided we had to do a photo shoot with the girls all decked out in their new festive outfits!
Quick Flashback to last years photoshoot! Aren’t they adorable? Crazy how fast time passes by and how fast they grow!
Flash forward back to this week! These outfits were handmade by a gal named Brittany who’s online store is called Pink PomPon. She did an amazing job, and we were both very pleased with how they turned out! Even better than we thought!
Loni has been our photographer since just after the girls got home from the NICU. If we would have know her before that, we would have had her capture every moment leading up to the birth! She’s that good!
One of the great things about Loni is how she captures the girls in any given moment, and transports them into something you dream about. She is incredible with composite photography, and here is a perfect example from our 4th of July shoot!
Ashley is terrified of water and it would giver so so much anxiety to have the girls really this close to water. So this way we have the safety of the studio but we get the dream photo.
She also captures what is happening here and now, and allows Ashley and I to have something for our photo journals to remember these sweet, yet fleeing moments. How precious they are!
As we look back over these pictures, even within hours of them happening, I realize just how precious these moments are. Each photo represents a memory captured in time. These memories make me realize just how special time with our children is. I hope we never take for granted all these moments that have been given to us as gifts from above!
Everyone always seems to be concerned that we “only” have photoshopped pictures of the girls and this is actually not the case at all. We have WAY more natural photos of the girls than the photoshopped ones but when you have someone this talented at photoshopping then why would you not let her use her talent! Every person deserves to have a ‘perfect’ photo of their kids and also have those ones where they are crying to remember forever. I love having so much of both kinds of photography. These girls have so many photos they won’t even know what to do with them all. Hahaha
We are so grateful for Loni and her many talents and are so blessed to have her in our lives.
Check out past blogs with more photos that Loni took of the girls!
This first one is from last year on the 4th of July…
