This was a staple meal from my childhood, and one of my favorites by the way! On top of being tasty, it is very simple to make! I’ve even got Ashley on board with this meal. In the beginning she thought it sounded rough, now its one of her normal requests! I promise, if you like hearty, mom and pop meals, this is a good one!
Ribeye Steaks (You can substitute for any cut you like; Ash likes the stew meat chunks, so I add those on top of my steak.)
2 cans of Campbell’s Golden Mushroom soup
1 can of Campbell’s Mushroom soup
Salt/Pepper (To your liking)
Prep Time-10 minutes
Place the steak in the bottom of the crockpot. I usually put a little water down there as well. Add all three soups on top of steak. Stir the soup around a little so it mixes.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Meat will be extremely tender.
If you are in a bit of a rush, you can cook on high for 4-6 hours, although you may sacrifice the tenderness of the steak.
As the meal time is almost up, i usually make my homemade mashed potatoes to go with this. The gravy is excellent on top of them. I always serve a side vegetable as well like corn or beans.
Your Family will love it!
