Going to church is a whole new story for us now then it use to be. Before we would take our time getting ready for church, be there a little early to get a good seat and relax and get spiritually edified and uplifted and ready to take on a new week.
Now Sundays have somewhat turned into pure chaos! Just getting all of us ready in the morning is a huge task in itself. The girls usually go down for a nap from 10:30-1:30 ish. Well our church starts at 11:00am-2:00pm. So you see, once we get to church they are already half hour past their bedtime. We have been just taking them to the first meeting and the entire time I feel like a circus. I have no choice but to pass my kids off to people or bring people with me to help. I always feel guilty for passing them off but what other choice do I have?
Yesterday they were being abnormally crazy! They were just so exhaused. Of course the first to throw a temper tantrum is non other that our little Ezzy girl. Tyson quickly rushed her out the door and my mom, my friend Sam and I continued to wrestle the other three, passing them back and forth to one another trying to figure out the best combination to keep them the happiest. One by one throughout the hour we each had to pop outside with the one we were holding.
After the first hour Tyson loaded them up and took them home. Esme was asleep in her car seat before we even had the 4th baby loaded in. They were exhausted! The three of us went in and actually enjoyed the rest of church.
I don’t know exactly what to do. I know this will pass and this is just how kids are, but it is for sure taking some adjusting for us to figure out what to do and how to handle everything. Most of church my face is bright red because of the circus that is going on in our row.
Well, I don’t think I heard one word the speakers said yesterday and that’s ok. I have to remember that everyone has been through this and that everyone is fine. I think they get it and they know that we have 4 kids we are attempting to contain. They all have had kids they have dealt with during church (maybe not the same age but still kids). It is ok and this is just how it has to be right now. We are all doing the best we can and thats all the matters.
Well during all the chaos Tyson had Ezzy outside discovering new things. I love these photos because they really show the curiosity that she has instilled in her little spirit and I love it!
