The Girls First Day Of School

I thought since this was a pretty big deal around here, I’d get up a blog with all the pictures from the girls first day at Preschool!

Of course, Mama Bear got up early, got them all dolled up, and took some of the most gorgeous photos we’ve taken of them! The girls were so excited and personable for photos. It was perfect!

After the “cute” photos, the girls asked if they could get in the back of the truck for a picture. Of course, that’s just what we did.

This little one was the most excited I think! Our sweet Scarlett.

They were so excited to get to school and see what was going on! We met the teacher, Mrs. Frost, the day before, so they had been practicing her name before class. It was so cute!

When we arrived, the school had put out a chalkboard for pictures, so of course, we had to do another round. I think Indie was showing us her feelings about that. LOL.

The other two were a bit more relaxed.

Ashley and I thought at least 2 of them would be a little apprehensive, but boy were we wrong! They just walked right in and meshed in like they had been in the class for 10 years! As happy as they seemed to be, it was hard for Ashley and I. We have spent almost every day with them since they were born, and now here they are going off to school. It was emotional. Mom cried.

All in all, we got through the initial emotions, had a nice quiet lunch, and then were about 25 minutes early to pick them up! LOL. First time parents over here! Definitely rookies!

They were so excited when we picked them up! They came running to Ash, hugged her, and immediately started showing her all their cool new school stuff including their school bag, treats from the first day, notes for mom and dad from the teacher, and their own cubby in class! Both of our hearts melted at how much they enjoyed their first day!

During lunch, Ash and I found the perfect after school treat. The bakery we were at had just made Back-to-School cookies in the shape of fat pencils. It was perfect, but they wouldn’t last once the girls got their hands on them!

Although we want to keep them little forever, we know we cant. This is just the beginning though, and we have many more “first times” and adventures to come with these beautiful miracles!
